- High pure copper cathode is a form of copper that has a purity of 99.99996%. In order to remove impurities from copper ore, it undergoes two processes, smlting and electrorefining. As an excellent conductor of electricity and heat, copper cathode is often used to make copper wire. The pliable nature of copper makes it an excellent choice for electrical and audio wires, which must be thin and flexible. Aside from wire, copper cathode is also used to make copper cake, which ranges in thickness from thin foils to thick plates. Ingots of electrorefined copper may also be used to make alloys, such as bronze.

For the purity of ultra pure copper:
- For materials described in the catalogue as High Purity, the actual analysis of metallic impurities will be supplied free of charge. For other items, an actual analysis can be supplied and a charge will be made for the analysis and for the sample used.
- If you require an analysis, please tell us whether you require analysis of metallic impurities only or metallic and gaseous. Where an analysis is required the shipment of your order may be delayed.
